Design Intern
United Planet is seeking a passionate and talented design intern to join our team remotely. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to enhance their design skills and gain practical experience in a global nonprofit organization. As a design intern, you will collaborate with our creative team to support various projects, including but not limited to:
- Creating visually compelling digital and print assets, such as social media graphics, brochures, and infographics.
- Assisting in the design and layout of website content, ensuring a user-friendly and visually appealing experience.
- Collaborating with team members to brainstorm and develop innovative design concepts that align with United Planet’s brand identity.
- Assisting in the creation of visually engaging presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Video editing skills are a plus – ability to assist in editing and creating video content for promotional and informational purposes.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and composition.
- A keen eye for detail and ability to produce high-quality work within given deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Video editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) are a plus.
- A genuine interest in cross-cultural understanding and international volunteerism.
Duration and Schedule:
This internship is an unpaid position with a flexible schedule, accommodating approximately 15-20 hours per week. The duration of the internship is flexible, depending on the availability and commitment of the selected candidate.
