United Planet offers a range of Quests, including Short-term Volunteer Quests (1-12 weeks) and Long-term Volunteer Quests (6 months & 1 year). All Quests are designed to enrich your cultural understanding and appreciation, while immersing you in a volunteer activity.

Short-term Volunteer Quests (1-12 weeks)

All applications and deposits should be sumbitted at least 60 days prior to your departure date.

Long-term Volunteer Quests (6 months & 1 year)
United Planet is the proud US partner of the ICYE (International Cultural Youth Exchange) Federation. United Planet’s 6 month and one year international volunteer programs are operated through our partnership with ICYE.
Unlike United Planet’s short-term programs, which are open to people of all ages, United Planet’s long-term programs are currently available to youth aged 18-30. Often, exceptions can be made for volunteers over the age of 30. United Planet can only send citizens or residents of the U.S. or Canada on ICYE's programs.

United Planet is committed to making our Quest programs accessible. Admission is based on level of commitment, motivation, responsibility, flexibility, and character. Successful applicants represent all ages, nationalities, and backgrounds. 1. Choose your Quest (either short-term 1-12 weeks or long-term 6 months-1 year), select your dates, and fill in the online application.

2. Submit your deposit at the time of application ($250 for short-term Quests and $350 for long-term Quests). You may pay the deposit on-line with a credit card as part of your application process, call our office at 1-800-292-2316 to provide your credit card information or send a check to our Boston office.
3. A Coordinator from the United Planet team will confirm yoru application and deposit and arrange a phone interview with you to discuss your Quest of interest and motivations.
