As a member of the Association of College Honor Societies, Sigma Theta Tau members are eligible for a unique scholarship opportunity with United Planet!

United Planet realizes that nursing leaders will be at the forefront of efforts to support global health and seeks to empower nursing leaders with the skills, perspectives, and experiences that will enable them to act as leaders beyond borders of all kinds.

United Planet is an international non-profit organization, headquartered in Boston, devoted to building a global network of leaders and volunteers which fosters cross-cultural understanding and addresses shared global challenges through immersive international service, internships, and cross-cultural collaboration. The underlying principle of our programs is the concept of Relational Diplomacy — recognizing that the relationships between people of diverse backgrounds are the basic building blocks for uniting the world.

Daniel J Pesut, President of the Honor Society of Nursing Sigma Theta Tau International (2003-2005) had this to say about United Planet: United Planet is a force for planetary health…. relational diplomacy among people from different countries is key to building networks that enable positive change to happen. I admire and appreciate all they do and am grateful for their presence in the world.
