Volunteer Opportunities in Morocco

Education & Youth Support

Assist in English lessons, after-school programs, or creative workshops.

Community Development

Support local NGOs with administrative tasks, awareness campaigns, or women’s empowerment initiatives.

Cultural & Language Exchange

Facilitate conversational English and exchange activities with students or professionals.

Environmental & Sustainability Efforts

Participate in community gardening, conservation activities, or sustainability education.

Intensive Language Option (4 Weeks)

Volunteers may choose a 4-week intensive Arabic language course, offered by a local partner.
The program includes:

Daily group or one-on-one lessons
Cultural immersion activities
Practice with community member

This option has separate pricing and can be added before or after your volunteer placement.

Cultural Immersion & Activities

During your stay, you can experience:

Traditional Moroccan cooking
Local artisan workshops
Historic visits to mosques, and markets
Weekend trips to cities like Marrakech, Rabat, or Chefchaouen
Opportunities to learn basic Arabic phrases and cultural etiquette

Accommodation & Meals

Most volunteers stay with host families, offering:

A welcoming home environment
Insight into daily Moroccan life
Homemade Moroccan meals (traditional tagines, couscous, mint tea!)
Support and cultural guidance

Depending on the project, volunteers may also stay in a volunteer house shared with other participants.

Quest Fees and Details

United Planet Quests are designed to be immersive, authentic, comprehensive and provide you everything you’ll need to succeed. The program elements allow you to engage fully with a new culture, forge strong relationships, and challenge yourself. Most importantly, we partner with the community to ensure your experience will be important, relevant and helpful to the community you serve.

Transportation and Flights

Due to varying airline prices, United Planet does not arrange or cover the cost of flights to and from Morocco. However, we arrange all ground transportation to and from the airport in Morocco and will ensure that you arrive safely at orientation. Volunteers should arrive between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm any day of the week (January 16th to November 30th).

About Our Quest Fee

Your Quest Fee supports the resources and infrastructure needed to make your experience safe, meaningful, and impactful for both you and the host community. As a nonprofit, every cost directly supports essential program elements.

We are a mission-driven organization, which means funds are used intentionally to create experiences that are valuable, ethical, and sustainable for everyone involved.

A $300 deposit is required at enrollment to secure your program placement. After confirmation, you may pay the Quest Fee in full or through installments. The remaining balance is due four weeks before departure.
