United Planet would like to thank our AcademicAAEAAQAAAAAAAAxNAAAAJDE2ZTFhMjM4LTdmZTgtNGNmMy05Zjk4LTE2MThlNmRmNDIwYQ Advisory Group member, Dr. Tim Stanton, for leading an exhilarating and thought-provoking Seminar in International Service-Learning in Costa Rica last week. A special thanks to Brittany Wheaton, Director of Global Education for Boston Public Schools; Josh Dean, Assistant Director of Campus Life for Louisiana State University; Kevin Gschwend, Assistant Director of Study Abroad for Manhattan College; and Leigh Hatchett Stanfield, Director of Global Campus Programs for Wake Forest University, for their participation and contributions to an enriching and collegial learning experience.

Our International Programs Manager, Kelly Haugh, was also in attendance and says that being immersed in San Jose for the duration of the seminar significantly enhanced the experience and inspired thoughtful discussions. She says that the group’s visit to the butterfly farm conservation quest site was a highlight of the week and provided a relaxing atmosphere to reflect on the experience and enjoy the moment.
