Our Japan Country Coordinator, Naoko Jin, shares her favorite memory of working with international volunteers. Naoko Jin, who co-operates a cafe in Okazaki City with her husband, Kuniomi Asai, is excited to bring volunteers into the city they love.

What is it like to combine Halloween and the 4th of July in one night? Celebrating Tihar in Nepal.

I was very impressed with one of the nights of Tihar (a Nepali celebration). It seems like Halloween and the 4th of July were combined in one day. On that night, children go door to door, sing and dance for candy and money. I watched how the kids rehearsed their dances and songs at the orphanage and then got to see them perform all night long.
