Global Conversations: Empowering Youth Through Sport

August 22, 2012United Planet

On August 12th 2012, United Planet was happy to celebrate United Nations’ International Youth Day! Now, to continue our celebration of youth around the world, join us next Wednesday, August 29th at 11 am EST for the latest installment in our webinar series, Global Conversations, which will be centered on outstanding youth programs!

Coaching soccer in South Africa

The goal of Global Conversations is to initiate discussions on global issues, featuring speakers that are very knowledgeable and heavily invested on each monthly theme or issue.

In our upcoming session, learn about how our partner organization in South Africa works to aid disadvantaged youth in finding their full potential by empowering them through sport.

Nick Mould, the Executive Director of United Through Sport, will be sounding off on how his staff and volunteers teach local youth about teamwork, focus and strength – stepping stones for a better future. By helping the youth become stronger individuals, United Through Sport is giving them the power to act positively within the world as they grow.

All are welcome to join in our conversation! To hear more, join us Wednesday, August 29th at 11 am EST for a lively discussion! Please RSVP to alumni@unitedplanet.org to reserve a spot – the conversation will happen via phone and internet.
