Italy…What associations do you have with this country? Colosseum, Venice, Coffee, Amazing Food, Romeo & Juliet? There is no doubt that Italy is one of the most beautiful countries, and one of the most popular tourist destinations. But why only go to Italy and explore it through a tourist’s perspective? Why wouldn’t you want to live there and learn about this amazing culture through volunteering and helping the community? Volunteering in Italy can be one of the most exciting, educational and rewarding experiences, and United Planet is very proud to offer volunteer Quests in this beautiful country. 
In Italy, volunteers could be placed throughout Northern, Central and Southern Italy. Each facet of the country (North and South, the big cities and the small villages) shows a different aspect of the Italian lifestyle.
Volunteers will have an opportunity to work with individuals with disabilities in the northern Region of Trentino Alto Adige in the town of Cles. Cles is surrounded by mountains with breathtaking views and is very close to the Wildlife Park Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta. In Luserna San Giovanni, the biggest village in the Pellices Valley, volunteers can help elderly people by offering care and support on a daily basis. Volunteers will also have an opportunity to work with disadvantaged children and children who have been abandoned by their families. In all programs, volunteers will have the chance to take part in activities developed in educational centers, in the residential community, and in some activities during the summer and winter holidays.
As the poet Anna Akhmatova once said: “Italy is a dream that keeps returning for the rest of your life.” Well…lets make your dreams real!
