As Tatiana Melnic of the Children’s Center – Viiturul, said, “the children’s future is our future.” Can’t we say the same about the future of Moldova and our own? After all, we live in an increasingly interconnected world.
Laurie Lundeen, a middle school Spanish teacher from Indianapolis, IN, traveled to Santiago and Valparaiso, Chile in May and June of 2010. She returned to Santiago this winter to visit and reconnect with the place she fell in love with, as well as the many people who touched her heart during her original trip with United Planet.
As we reported before, United Planet just donated some money to the Aldea Infantil in Cusco, Peru so they could buy materials to renovate and repair kitchens and living areas….
United Planet recently donated money to enable staff and volunteers to restore and update the buildings by painting and installing new tiles in the kitchens.
United Planet Vice President Theresa Higgs had a wonderful time in Mongolia this month. She was traveling and training and making connections in the capitol and the countryside, along with Anindita Dutta Roy of iEARN.
