When Alisa Farabee handed a shirt to one of the women, the woman removed her own shirt and gave it to Alisa, saying, “You give me your shirt, I give you mine.”

United Planet Vice President Theresa Higgs has been in Mongolia recently, getting ready for the amazing exchange we’re organizing between public high school students in the U.S. and Mongolia. Here in the office, we’ve been learning a lot about Mongolia – what a fascinating place! We were delighted to get her notes about the realities of life there.
I couldn’t have thought of a more fitting end for that game, or a better account of my experience here in Uganda. An experience where I feel I have made headway (scored goals) and encountered frustrations (conceded goals), with the understanding that I have at least helped to shape the game, and possibly created the environment necessary for that winning goal to be finally scored (delivering permanent and significant change).
